Chris Avila is a Residential Advisor and Ethics and Leadership teacher at SEGL. He has worked with young scholars at both the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth and the Summer Institute for the Gifted in Miami, Florida. He earned his BA from Emory University, where he conducted extensive curriculum research at their Social, Emotional, and Ethical Learning office, served as a Residential Assistant and President of the Social Club Advisory Council, and majored in Human Health. He is fluent in Spanish and proficient in French, Portuguese, and American Sign Language.
