Richard Kelley graduated cum laude from Harvard University with a degree in Folklore and Mythology and a secondary in Government. At Harvard, he was President of the Phillips Brooks House Association (PBHA), the nation’s largest student-run social justice and non-profit organization. At PBHA he managed a $2.1 million budget. Richard also brings seven years of experience working in education to SEGL, from private tutoring to teaching mathematics at a high school in Boston. Most of his undergraduate and post graduate years have focused on educational opportunities and empowerment. A Creativity Foundation National Legacy Award winner 2009 and a Krista Foundation Colleague 2011, Richard is actively engaged in working towards creative solutions in education both domestically and abroad. Most recently, Richard spent a year in the Mamelodi Township of South Africa working on educational programming for Mamelodi high school students.
