This past week, as our students juggled Social Venture Project presentations, policy document defenses, and English Credo preparations, they also made sure there was plenty of time for fellowship and laughter.
The pictures below tell the tales of our student-conceived and led “Spirit Week”: a rousing SEGLympics, creative couture at Morning Meetings, a fierce ultimate frisbee color war contest, and a student-created prom!
These events are not only opportunities for fun; they are opportunities for students to develop leadership skills. (For example, not wanting any of the conventional prom-related stress, the students randomly assigned each other “dates” and required elaborate, affirming “prom-posals” that earned round after round of enthusiastic applause as the week progressed.)
