Leslie Matheu
Leslie Matheu is a Physics Teaching Fellow and Residential Advisor at SEGL in London. She earned her B.S. in Genetics and Genomics from the University of California, Davis, studied abroad in the Netherlands and Brazil, and completed a Master’s degree in Global Health at the University of Barcelona. Before joining SEGL, Leslie worked across the United States, Europe, and Asia in roles focused on teaching, curriculum development, and student support. She taught sustainability and global health abroad, tutored students in math and science, and worked with nonprofits focused on health equity and community development. She is passionate about helping students connect classroom learning to real-world challenges. Her teaching emphasizes interdisciplinary thinking, cross-cultural understanding, and student leadership. In her free time, Leslie enjoys learning languages, traveling, exploring new cultures, going to live music, and anything Harry Styles.
