Ginya Marr teaches Ethics & Leadership and Comparative Government & Politics at SEGL in London. During high school, she attended SEGL’s flagship DC campus herself, following a year abroad in Oman through the State Department's YES Abroad scholarship program. She graduated from Williams College with a Bachelor’s degree in Comparative Literature (Spanish) and Studio Art, a combo which she envisions as a major in “Stories & Media.” A recipient of the Donovan Moody prize for graduate study, she attended the University of Oxford and obtained Masters degrees in Refugee and Forced Migration Studies and Comparative and International Education. Before joining the SEGL in London team, she served as a youth ambassador at The Charlie Waller Trust, a Syria program officer at The Council for At-Risk Academics, and an assistant 4th grade teacher at The American School in London. Outside of teaching, Ginya is passionate about live music, baking, solo traveling, outdoor swimming, and her meditative and creative practices.
