Susana Heureaux

Susana Heureaux is Chef and Food Coordinator at SEGL in DC. She was trained at the L’Academie de Cuisine culinary arts program in Maryland and did her professional externship at Mio, a Puerto Rican restaurant in Washington, DC. She most recently worked for Marriott at the Discovery Channel building in Silver Spring, Maryland, where she performed a wide variety of duties, including preparing special meals, monitoring food quality, and mentoring employees. Her quinoa chili recipe is beloved by generations of SEGL graduates, and she enjoys helping students share their culinary traditions from home while in DC for the semester. She lives in Hyattsville with her family, including her two daughters.
